GRAPHIC DESIGN COMPETITION 2025
Our materials and resources room is currently undergoing a remodel after the flood from last year. Design a wayfinding graphic for the wall outside of the upgraded LILA (lighting and Interiors Lab) and be a part of place-making on campus!

What
Design some engaging wayfinding and placemaking for the Interior design materials and lighting lab and resource room. We need to indicate that the lab is located in this area and include the name LILA (which stands for Lighting and Interiors Lab). Think of ways graphics and images might come together in a mural-like way to make this space stand out.

Email your Submittal
Draw or render a design for the wall and/or door and/or signage outside of the Materials Lab Room 028 in the Basement of CBEIS Building (details above) . Think of ways paint, decals, or other materials could be creatively used to create fun engaging wayfinding and placemaking. Show us us what you came up with in a 1 to 5 page presentation. Make sure to include your process drawings/notes so we can see your creative direction. Include a statement about your design idea and rationale.
