Get insight from local design professionals on preparing your portfolio, interviewing techniques, and what to expect when you start your job search. This is a great opportunity to polish up your presentation skills, learn what not to do, and network with fellow students from the Washington Metro and Baltimore/Annapolis areas.

Local design professionals volunteer their time to review student’s portfolio and resume for concept, content and structure in a one on one twenty minute session. In addition, there will be informal discussions with design and industry professionals covering variety of topics from basics of putting together a portfolio and tips on handling the interview process.

We suggest you bring the following:

• A digital portfolio with 5-6 in-progress and/or completed projects which can include; sketches, concept development, floor plans, renderings

• A resume which should include education, technical skill levels, any work experience and expected graduation year.
